Squarespace has helped pushed the bar for content management and design options for the eCommerce industry. As stores have faced increased competition differentiating their product has become a core part of the strategy. Often this means improving the aesthetics: improving images, video, mobile accessibility, sleek designs, etc. Squarespace excels in boosting this aspect of an eCommerce business.


However Squarespace is simply a bit behind the other platforms entirely focused on their eCommerce offering. Squarespace can get there with time but for now it appears they are proving out their offering for smaller teams who are not interested in technical, complex improvements.

The Good

Beauty Above All For eCommerce teams visual appeal is weighted higher than other industries, and Squarespace offers forward-thinking design and presentation.

Content Is King The content management system (CMS) and blogging features are top-tier offerings for content marketers..

Navigation at Scale If you are attempting to build a large complex website be ready for limited levels of navigation and frustrating file management.
